Learning Site
The course takes place at Sage Mountain Center, a 50-acre site just 15 minutes north of Bozeman, Montana, dedicated to sustainable agriculture, education, art, and animal welfare. The farm is in the beginning stages of its permaculture design and development. It currently has an in-ground greenhouse, gardens, rainwater catchment systems, and chickens.
Only an hour and a half from Yellowstone National Park, and located in the Gallatin Valley, Bozeman offers great recreational opportunities such as hiking, mountain biking,fishing, hunting, and skiing. With one of the most successful Community Food Co-ops in the country, Bozeman has a strong focus on local food with cattle ranchers, grain producers and CSA growers, offering their goods at summer and winter farmers’ markets. |
Accommodations
The course fee includes camping accommodations with outdoor toilets and showers. The course will be at the height of summer, one of the best times to visit Montana.
